It’s better to have a good guitar when learning how to play. You may find yourself at a flea market or a swap meet looking for a guitar that’s cheap and under $200. But your efforts in learning how to play guitar would go to waste. If you’re really serious about playing, you should consider investing in a really good guitar. Don’t just settle for a cheap guitar; find a new one that you could be comfortable with.
Tip #2: Exercise!
This is another important tip because of all the finger work you’re going to be doing. This will really help you in learning all the different chords. After all, there is a saying “practice makes perfect!” Practicing will help you learn the chords and you’ll see how you’re improving.
Tip #3: Studying guitar playing on your own
This is a pretty serious tip, and getting the learning curve done by yourself will help you feel less pressured when playing when you’re on your own figuring out the first few chords. It helps to know the basics before you get a teacher or learn with a group.
Once you are serious and get through all the basics, you’ll realize that there’s nothing cooler than being able to play your own music on the guitar.
