The city of Cuenca in Spain is a paradise for those tourists wishing to visit places of historical importance. Some from countries of interest to tourists are presented here briefly:
St. Paul Bridge:
This bridge was constructed over the Gorge Huecar. By history that was built in 1533. People were finding it difficult to visit the Monastery of St. Paul who was on the other side bridge. To enable people to participate in the monastery, the bridge was built by Jaun Del Pozo. Currently, the original bridge collapsed and a new one was built in the early 20th century. The new bridge is built over the remains of the old bridge. This bridge that is located at an altitude of about 60 meters has been built using steel and wood.
Town hall:
Some people will say what is so special in a town hall? Local council building in Cuenca has a story behind it. It was built in 1762 in baroque style typical of King Charles III. This is the most beautiful buildings in the vicinity. The three arches Roman which support the building are unique in their look and aesthetic beauty. Central arch building is so beautiful that it has enhanced the beauty of the building.
Hanging Houses:
Can a home var? In fact, history says that homes hanging were common in Cuenca. These houses are built on a rock. Such houses are pretty all along the river Huecar. According to historians, these houses were built in the 15th century. Now only two houses left hanging. From both houses, one is converted into a hotel and another in a museum. This museum has a collection of numerous pictures which were taken from the bridge of San Pablo.
Monument:
Located on top of a hill where you can have a spectacular view of the surrounding countries is a monument dedicated to the Holy Heart of Jesus. Important material for the monument were transported to the top of the hill with the donkeys. Hill can be increased by walking or by car.
Provincial Council:
This building was built in the century 20 and it is one of the most beautiful buildings of Cuenca. The building is so elegant that it attracts the attention of most visitors.
