I Musicman Axis Supersport Guitar, I also want a Gibson SG STD. Is it a good idea to trade My musicman?

I Musicman Axis Supersport Guitar (humbucker p90s) for almost 6 months and i think that is a guitar good, but lacked ooomph and seems to rockin, and the worst thing is i also want a Gibson SG std for a while long. Is it a good idea to trade my Musicman Axis for a Gibson SG Standard? Mostly I play blues (SRV, Hendrix), Classic Rock (purple, Zeppelin).

You know, it is difficult to answer. I had a full size arch top Gibson with pick-up that my father bought for me hostage in a shop in Buffalo NY when I was 14 years. I used it for rhythm while I was playing country. Church that for some 7 or 8 years. But then, I decided wanted to play rock, and I need something with more punch, playability light, tone and something cool. So, I traded for a Gibson Fender Jaguar and Fender Twin Reverb. They were great! About 5 years later, I I have a lull and sell Jag. and Twin. Big mistake. Now, if I have Gibson today, it will be worth in the neighborhood of 3,000.00 to 5,000.00 dollars. Jag. 2,500.00 and 1,200.00 for twin perhaps. I swore I would never sell a piece of musical equipment, unless it was in end really low. NOT EVER! I have a Martin HD-28, a law suit mahogany Takamine F-49, a Telecaster Thinline 1974, (4,500.00 value), a old pipe coupling 4 -10 's, 4 bathroom, the (estimated at 5000.00), 2 guitars resonator, (a hand is a Denove), a mandoline, 25 Violins, and a banjo uke, not to mention any brass or keyboard. I am not familiar with guitar or are you a thinking about trading, but sure of what you are doing. If your guitar is low end, maybe go for it. If No, I think that over and be sure you are making the right choice. By all means, have fun with it. Good luck
