The exceptionally talented Pop artist Gino Vannelli has released him CD entitled Brother To Brother. I am very confident and happy to announce that I believe Gino Vannelli fans, and Pop fans alike will be pleased with this one. With the release of Brother To Brother Gino Vannelli's artistic excellence is on full display as Vannelli has once again delivered a brilliant collection of tracks that could very well be him best work to date.
Brother To Brother grabs your attention right out of the gate with Appaloosa and won't let go until the very last note of the very last song People I Belong To, which by the way is another great track.
Brother To Brother has a nicely varied, mix of 9 tracks that are very well written songs by this clearly superb artist. Most of the songs display a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Clearly drawing from what I can only imagine are him own real life experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions like love, and the pain of failed relationships can certainly be heard.
I'm of the opinion that Brother To Brother is certainly Gino Vannelli's best work in a few years. A totally enjoyable CD and an outstanding release. What I call must have music. I give it two thumbs up because it's a collection that even the casual Pop fan can appreciate and enjoy.
While the entire CD is really very good the truly standout tunes are track 2 - The River Must Flow, track 3 - I Just Wanna Stop, and track 9 - People I Belong To.
My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1 - Appaloosa. Good stuff!
