Back in the old days, cruise holidays were something of an enigma. Loved by the rich, famous, privileged and royalty, they were the only way to travel to see and be seen on. Enjoying something of a comeback - like many of our favourite celebrities - a cruise is now considered one of the best ways to travel. It's the only mode of transport in which you can see many corners of the world without having to take planes, trains and automobiles. Is it any wonder stars love to travel this way too? The ultimate in comfort and experience, you could be rubbing shoulders with the stars.
Even if there is a lack of famous faces on your cruise, you can still holiday like a celebrity. The crew are there to make you feel as welcome and special as they possibly can - their hospitality is a big reason why cruises attract celebrities from the A listers to the Z listers. Old time rocker Rod Stewart is a fan, along with voice of the airwaves Sir Terry Wogan, Faulty Towers star John Cleese (minus Manuel) and even boy band member Duncan James from Blue.
Members of the Royal Family are fans too, including the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson. Well known ladies flock to the on board spa facilities, where trained therapists are on hand to primp and prime to perfection. So if the holiday isn't relaxing enough as it is, you can certainly relax even further.

And queen of the chat show Oprah famously chartered a cruise in 2009 for her 1,700 employees and their families as a thank you bonus, where they travelled around the Mediterranean for ten days. Unfortunately, you can't book a holiday on Oprah's cruise but you can enjoy one of the many cruises on offer which would meet with her approval.
